Wacky Winter Wonderland

Instead of small groups this week, we will all be meeting together for a fun Christmas Themed Night. We will play Christmas related games and talk about the Christmas Story. This is a PERFECT night to bring friends!

The only thing you will need to bring is a wrapped gift worth $1 or less. We will be having a gift exchange so wrap an item from your room, garage, or dollar spot.

Please note that the required attire for this event is FESTIVE! We will be having costume contests for who dresses the most Christmas-like so be sure to get creative!

The Christmas Festive Event is absolutely free. See you there!!

We won't be meeting this week, but we all look forward to meeting in our small groups next week at our regular times and regular locations! If you have any questions where those may be, email christina@journeycom.org.

Spring Break Small Group Schedule

For the next two weeks (April 8 & 15), there will be NO SMALL GROUPS!

They will meet up again beginning Wednesday, April 22. The last Small Group of this school year is June 10.

Small Group Reminder

SUNDAY MORNINGS:
It's a New Year and we have started a new Sunday Morning series at Riptide titled "What's New?" So many people make new year's resolutions and we are going to look at what it really takes to change and make 2009 the greatest year yet! We are looking at the life of King David. There were definitely some ups and downs in his life, but he always came back to his one desire, to be fully devoted to God. It was that devotion that changed his life!

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS:
Small groups are meeting again! We open the Riptide Doors at 6:30pm for a time of hang out. Our Riptide Cafe is open with sodas, candy, and some hot dinner items for sale. We have a tv show playing on the big screen and next Wednesday we will begin our "9 Square" tournament for anyone interested! At 7pm we break off to our individual small groups and call it a night at 8:30pm. If you would like more information please email christina@journeycom.org.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP:
Sunday, January 25th will have a "Student Leadership Fair" in between and after services in the Riptide Room. There will be booths that explain the variety of areas your student can help out in Riptide. The areas include: greeting, cafe, band, tech, room set-up, and drama. Applications will be available for each area January 25th. This year we also be inviting our Student Leaders to attend the Planet Wisdom Student Conference March 20th- 21st. More details for that to come.

Small Group Break Dates

To take a break and celebrate the holidays Riptide Small Groups will not be meeting the following dates:
Wednesday, November 26th (Day before Thanksgiving)
Wednesday, December 24th (Day before Christmas)
Wednesday, December 31st (Christmas Break)

SMALL GROUP UPDATE

Small groups will taking a break during the spring break weeks Wednesday March 19th and March 26th. Small groups will then resume meeting April 2nd.

We will be having a Riptide Movie Night on March 19th, but there will be no small groups that night. Just a movie! We will be showing "Night at the Museum." Pizza and soda will be provided for $5. It will be a great night of fun contests and prizes!

RIPTDE SMALL GROUPS

The Riptide Small Groups are up and running. If your student is not currently involved in small group and would like a place where they can build community with a smaller group of students and dig deeper into the Bible, please email me at christina@journeycom.org. These small groups meet on campus at Journey as well as in home around the community. We would love to have your student a part of a group!

If your student is in a small group that meets on the Journey Campus on Wednesday Nights, please note that although small groups do not officially start until 7pm, we are opening our Riptide doors at 6:30pm. We will have the Riptide Cafe open where they can buy sodas and candy for 50 cents as well as pizza for $1 a slice.
