Current Sunday Morning Series:

God has called you to a journey that will change you and change the world. It is no accident that you are in middle school this year. You have been chosen to live at this moment for a purpose. You have also been chosen to live no ordinary middle school life. YOU have been chosen to walk the journey of a hero. This is your mission if you choose to accept it.

God has given you everything you need to navigate this journey. Through his word, God has given you access to the wisdom that will give you the strength and guidance required to live the heroic life God has called you to. For the next five weeks, we are going to look at what it takes to life out this heroic life. Are you willing to accept this calling?

“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9

Current Sunday Morning Series:

Can you imagine what it would be like to have a face-to-face encounter with God? Some people in the Bible got an extreme up-close encounter of an extreme God, and their lives were forever changed. Just because these stories happened thousands of years ago, doesn’t mean they have nothing to do with our lives, or that moments like these can't happen today. We are going to look at six stories of people that had a significant meeting with God. We will look at God through the lens of these people and explore deeper meanings of their encounters and how it all relates to our lives. Are you ready to see God Up Close?

July 3- Jacob: Wrestling with Pride (Genesis 32:1-32)

July 10- Daniel: God works miracles before his very eyes (Daniel 6:1-18)

July 17- The Blind Man: Difference between light and darkness (John 9:1-41)

EMOTICON— n
any of several combinations of symbols used in electronic mail and text messaging to indicate the state of mind of the writer, such as :-) to express happiness, :-( for sadness or anger, ;-) to express only half serious.

Let's be honest, in just one day we can experience a whole gamete of different emotions. We can feel one way in the morning, and depending on people we see or situations that happen, we can feel completely different by the end of the day. Sometimes emotions can be confusing and we don't know what to do with them. The cool thing is that God created you with emotions and he actually gave us instructions on how to respond to them.

So join us the next three Sunday Mornings as we explore the TECHNICOLOR WORLD of EMOTIONS and learn how our response to them can glorify the God that created us.

May 15 TRUE BLUES: Responding when life blindsides you :(
May 22 MAD REDS: You make me so mad>:(
May 29 SHADES OF PURPLE: Cooties, germs, & crushes, oh my! <3

Current Sunday Morning Series:

We live in a world of "like" and "dislike" buttons, status updates, and comment boxes. Under the flag of "freedom of speech" this translates to some as permission to say whatever is on one's mind no matter the feelings or consequences of the person on the other side. And when it comes to those that live in our proximity, it can difficult to get along with people when they are unkind or even share different opinions than us. Jesus, though, gives us specific instructions on how we are to treat one another, no matter who they are to us. During the next two weeks, we are going to look at these instructions on how we are called to respond.

When an expert in the law asked Jesus what was the greatest commandment, Jesus responded to love God with heart soul, mind, and strength. But it was the next part of Jesus' answer that would change the course of history and how we live our lives. Jesus added that we are also to love others as ourselves. During the next five weeks we will discover what the Jesus Creed of loving God and others looks like in our everyday life and see if we have the guts to live this out.
